About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Donor Insights Specialist to join our Private Sector Fundraising team at DNDi. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing an effective prospect research strategy to support our philanthropic ambitions.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in prospect research, preferably in a global health or scientific organization. You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and socializing processes and procedures related to prospect research, ensuring alignment with our fundraising plans and strategic priorities.
  • Identifying and qualifying prospective donors by cross-referencing information from our supporter database, external databases, funding calls, media sources, and biographical references.
  • Conducting in-depth research on prospective donors and contacts, building strong relationships internally to promote the effective use of research information.
  • Making data-driven recommendations to support the cultivation of new prospects and the management of key donor relationships, ensuring fundraisers have dynamic prospect portfolios optimized to meet fundraising targets.
Key Responsibilities

The Strategic Donor Insights Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the development of a proactive and growth-focused prospect research strategy that aligns with DNDi's fundraising plans and strategic priorities.
  • Developing and socializing knowledge capture systems, such as utilizing Salesforce, to support ongoing relationships and work with relevant team members on the systemization of knowledge capture, pipeline reporting, and prospect ranking systems in Salesforce.
  • Presenting research results through written reports and presentations for various audiences, including internal stakeholders and organisational leaders.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in prospect research, preferably in a global health or scientific organization.
  • Excellent understanding of the global philanthropic landscape, with strong knowledge of the philanthropic landscape in at least 3-4 countries, including the US, UK, and other European markets.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote team environment and matrix structure, with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
