Cost Engineer - Nuclear Projects

NRL Recruitment is seeking a skilled Cost Engineer to support high-profile nuclear projects in the South West. As a key member of our client's team, you will play a crucial role in the implementation and maintenance of Integrated Project Controls processes for Cost.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate cost data for the Programme within the financial control system (EcoSys), including monthly ACWP calculations.
  • Assist in the Trend & Change process, including production of Project Change Reports, analysis of cost impact, and provision of feedback on areas of risk and opportunities.
  • Review, acceptance, and integration of cost estimates and forecasts provided by Tier 1 Contractors and suppliers.
  • Contribute to the analysis of earned value.
  • Ensure adherence to Project governance and Cost standards and procedures.
  • Protectively mark and protect all Project documents, particularly Sensitive Nuclear Information, in accordance with policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  1. HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in a Project Management or Project Controls environment in a similar Cost role.
  3. Degree in Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  4. Experience in the use of cost management software systems such as EcoSys.
  5. Experience on a major construction project.
  6. Experience in the Nuclear sector.
