Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team, complementing our existing team of consultants. The successful appointee will be expected to participate in care-pathway development, research, audit, and teaching, while contributing to the growth of high-volume, low-complexity cases and more complex patients with higher comorbidities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality anaesthesia services, including same-day arthroplasty cases
  • Participate in care-pathway development, research, audit, and teaching
  • Contribute to the growth of high-volume, low-complexity cases and more complex patients with higher comorbidities
  • Collaborate with other partners, clinical unit managers, nurses, and consultant colleagues to manage caseloads and achieve clinical and local priorities
  • Comply with relevant Sulis policies relating to patient care, including working to set timescales for treatment and completing appropriate documentation
Requirements
  • Full registration with the GMC
  • Included on the Specialist Register or within 3 months of achieving CCT at the time of interview
  • FRCA or equivalent qualification
  • CCT or CESR
