Job Title: Electro Mechanical Field Service Specialist

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Electro Mechanical Field Service Specialist to maintain and repair high-end Photocopiers and MFDs, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair MFP & Production Print equipment to published specifications
  • Respond to field technical calls at client premises, fixing products efficiently and within targeted response time
  • Ensure accurate technical records via PDA service support tools and communicate with call control
  • Organize and maintain a suitable vehicle or onsite spare parts kit to minimize Return to Fit RTF calls
  • Maintain cloud-based digital document repository access via regular online synchronisation
  • Ensure company vehicle is maintained in line with published procedures and kept clean and presentable
  • Maintain accurate work expense records and submit these, along with receipts, at the required time
  • Attend technical training courses, seminars, and events to maintain technical skills and product awareness
  • Liaise and cooperate with other departments to promote operational service
  • Communicate regularly within Technical Department escalation channels regarding technical observations

Person Specification:

  • Competent technician with extensive experience of repairing and maintaining color and monochrome MFP devices
  • Connectivity experience, including installing print drivers and connecting printers to simple networks
  • High level of competency in diagnostic fault finding
  • DBS and SC Vetting will be a mandatory requirement for this role

Desirable Skills:

  • Advanced IT networking and connectivity experience, including set-up network scanning and full MFP installation on print servers
