Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team at our European Manufacturing plant in Gravesend, Kent. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on maintaining and improving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) to maximize plant availability and performance while meeting quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain site health, safety, and environmental standards, and company policies, ensuring the safety of yourself and those around you.
  • Carry out and record works in accordance with the annual maintenance plan.
  • Provide engineering support to operations and minimize non-operational time.
  • Maintain workshop spare inventory.
  • Support process improvement activities affecting Overall Equipment Effectiveness (product of Quality, Performance & Availability).
  • Actively contribute to capital investment projects.
  • Achieve and maintain workshop housekeeping standards.
  • Supply essential out-of-hours activity as required by the business, without breaching the Working Time Directive or exceeding the company's 6-day maximum working policy.
Requirements:
  • Experience of maintenance engineering in a manufacturing process environment.
  • Practical fault-finding knowledge of Electrical, Controls & Instrumentation systems.
  • Experience of maintenance and repair of Electrical drive systems, mechanical systems, and PLC systems.
  • Root cause analysis methodology skills.
  • Ability to provide clear and concise communication with colleagues and managers.
