About the Role:

You will be responsible for developing and building relationships with aligned customers and brokers, providing technical support and assistance, and dealing with all queries. You will use a network of relevant stakeholders to deliver the widest proposition appropriate to the customer and work independently, within underwriting authority, conferring where appropriate more technical and complex risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite profitable business while operating within agreed guidelines and authority levels
  • Develop and build relationships with aligned customers and brokers
  • Provide technical support and assistance
  • Deal with all queries
  • Use a network of relevant stakeholders to deliver the widest proposition appropriate to the customer
  • Work independently, within underwriting authority, conferring where appropriate more technical and complex risks

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of insurance product features and processes
  • Knowledge of underwriting – Property and Liability
  • Good planning, prioritisation, and organisation skills
  • Excellent communication, listening, time management, and negotiating skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a large complex organisation
  • Good knowledge of the FCA and other relevant regulation and legislation
