Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Security Specialist to join our team at Chiltern Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our security systems and providing exceptional customer service.

The successful candidate will have excellent technical knowledge and skills, with experience in fire alarms, emergency lights, CCTV, intruder systems, and access control. You will also have strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role:

  • Carry out routine service and maintenance tasks as required
  • Support and drive technical standards, including second-line support and training internal field engineers
  • Provide technical support for customers' requests for surveys, quotations, and system upgrades
  • Work with the team on technical aspects of business development, including guiding proposals and quotations
  • Take responsibility for all security technical issues within the field, supporting customers, and providing an excellent customer experience
  • Oversee and support the call-out process within the business, offering support and guidance to the admin and support team
  • Assist the business in attaining its identified goals, including capturing asset lists for all customer sites and implementing the use of Google Drive

Responsibilities:

  1. Completing all scheduled service work as provided by the Ops Team
  2. Ensuring asset lists are collected and reported on a monthly basis
  3. Working with the team to support technical expertise so quotations can be issued
  4. Liaising with the team regarding sales opportunities
  5. Supporting the continuous employment of the Engineers Charter
  6. Improving/managing first-time fix rates
  7. Providing exceptional customer experience
  8. Sharing knowledge with team members
  9. Providing documentation as required by the company in a timely manner (job sheets and time sheets etc.)

Requirements:

  • Excellent technical knowledge and skills in fire alarms, emergency lights, CCTV, intruder systems, and access control
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Full, clean driving license is required
