Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Personal Support Assistant to join our care team. As a Personal Support Assistant, you will provide in-home support to older Victorians, assisting them with daily living tasks and promoting their independence and well-being.

About the Role

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our clients. As a Personal Support Assistant, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in areas such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Assist clients with mobility and transfers
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry and cleaning
  • Prepare and serve meals
Requirements
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support or higher, or equivalent qualification
  • A reliable car and valid driver's license to drive between client homes and transport clients
  • The annual flu immunisation and willingness to obtain it each year
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $30-$40, depending on experience, with guaranteed annual pay increases. Additionally, you will receive recently increased hourly rates, paid travel time, a mileage allowance of 99 cents per kilometre, not-for-profit salary packaging for up to $2650 per year, and paid training hours to build your skills.
