Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is a leading provider of healthcare services, and we are seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing high-quality treatments to patients referred for assessment and intervention.

As an autonomous practitioner, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with complex cases, evidencing high-level problem-solving skills and independence of judgment. You will also be expected to take part in delivering routine podiatry, wound care, nail surgery, and biomechanical work for patients in their own homes or community locations.

The post holder will promote health and reduce inequalities for individuals, families, and communities, optimizing opportunities for health promotion and education to enable patients to maximize their potential in terms of health and social well-being.

Main duties
  • To assess and treat patients with podiatric conditions, including non-complex nail surgery, biomechanics, and low-level wound care.
  • To work as part of a highly motivated podiatry team, providing high-quality treatments and contributing to the delivery of patient-centered care.
  • To develop and maintain knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and research in the field of podiatry.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in Podiatric Medicine.
  • Certificate in Local analgesic / and or POM as recommended by HCPC.
  • Accredited field work educator or willingness to undertake depending on post-grad work experience.
  • Knowledge and appreciation of lone working risks – policy and procedure.

This role offers a competitive salary of £29,970 - £36,483 per annum pro rata, reflecting the importance of this position within our organization.
