Restaurant Manager Job Description

The Peninsula London is a luxury hotel seeking a skilled Restaurant Manager to lead our culinary team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a Michelin-starred restaurant and contribute to creating exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote The Peninsula London as a premier dining destination by providing exceptional service and memorable guest experiences.
  • Lead the team to deliver top-notch dining experiences, adhering to The Peninsula London's high standards.
  • Support the Restaurant Director in innovation, creativity, and technical ability to position the restaurant as a leading culinary destination.
  • Ensure the highest level of food and beverage quality, maintaining exceptional standards in service delivery.
  • Manage team performance, providing guidance and development opportunities to enhance colleague growth and engagement.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a gastronomic restaurant environment, preferably in a Michelin-starred restaurant.
  • Extensive food and beverage knowledge, with the ability to recall ingredients and inform customers and waiting staff.
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Fluent English communication proficiency, with expertise in a second language desirable.
  • Ability to handle guest complaints in a courteous and efficient manner, communicating with senior management as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain exceptional colleague interactions, with outstanding working relationships.
  • Ensure the highest level of Health and Safety and Hygiene are maintained, reporting employee and guest accidents, and responding suitably to any hotel emergency.
