About the Role

We are seeking three Consultant Paediatricians to join our team at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidates will have a special interest in Endocrine, Oncology, or Neonates and will be able to provide acute paediatric emergency and ambulatory care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Consultant of the week cover on Paediatrics, Neonates, and the Paediatrics Assessment unit
  • Take on-call in both acute Paediatrics and neonatology (level 1)
  • Develop and provide services in outpatient activities, furthering their special interest
  • Participate in the development of the department and contribute to the delivery of excellent patient care
Requirements
  • GMC Registration
  • MBBS or equivalent professional qualification
  • MRCPCH by examination or equivalent
  • Entry on GMC Specialist Register; eligible for entry on Register or within six months of receipt of Certificate of Completion of training (CCT) at time of interview
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • SPIN training in the area of special interest
  • Evidence of thorough and broad training and experience in the specialty
  • Comprehensive knowledge in the specialty and ability to offer expert clinical opinion on range of problems
