Are you passionate about education and looking for a new challenge? Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of individuals in a prison setting? We have an exciting opportunity for a Student Support Worker to join our team at HMP Holme House.

About the Role

As a Student Support Worker, you will be responsible for promoting the education provision on offer and conducting initial assessments in English, Maths, and learning difficulties/disabilities. You will also ensure that prospective and existing learners receive relevant and easily understood information regarding learning and skills provision and continuing support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with learners on a day-to-day basis to promote the education provision
  • Conduct initial assessments in English, Maths, and learning difficulties/disabilities
  • Provide support to learners to ensure they have the information to plan their learner journey
  • Contribute to a multi-disciplinary approach to facilitate a smooth transition to the resettlement of learners into the community
