About the Role

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Specialist to join our team in a Knowsley-based Secondary School. As a Science Specialist, you will be responsible for teaching pre-set Key Stage 3/4 students, managing an average class size in the absence of a teacher, and working with children aged 11-16 years old.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and mentoring students in a supportive and inclusive environment
  • Managing classroom behavior and maintaining a safe and respectful learning space
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement lesson plans and educational programs
  • Providing individualized support and guidance to students as needed

Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 days experience working in sole charge of a group of children in the last 10 years
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • A passion for working with children in a calm and authoritative manner
  • Enhanced DBS Check on the Update Service
