About the RoleWe are looking for a highly motivated and qualified teacher who can deliver effective lessons and engage our learners from all over the world. As an Academic English Tutor, you will be responsible for planning and delivering language-focused and engaging lessons, working closely with the academic team to ensure the success of our summer programme.
The ideal candidate will have a CELTA/ Trinity TESOL/ B.Ed. in TEFL/TESOL/ PGCE in languages with QTS plus experience teaching ESL students. They will also possess excellent lesson planning skills, a high level of computer literacy, and enthusiasm for summer school life.
We offer a competitive salary range of £550-£580 per week, commensurate with experience, as well as comprehensive paid training & career development opportunities. Our benefits package includes free accommodation, 3 meals per day, catering to dietary and religious requirements, and annual leave accrual 12.07% to be paid at end of fixed term contract.
Job Requirements- Plan and deliver language-focused and engaging lessons.
- Teach 30 hours a week + 12 hours of activities/excursions/pastoral duties.
- Work 6 days a week (between Monday – Sunday).
- Follow BSC syllabus.
- Complete weekly planners, attendance sheets, and student reports.
- Be observed and receive feedback.
- Work as part of the academic team and support the summer team as a whole.
- Attend and participate in academic meetings and INSETT sessions.
- Assist with placement testing.
- Attend induction held at the centre.
- Remain professional at all times.
- Comply with BSC Uniform Policy (BSC t-shirts are provided).
- Comply with BSC Centre rules and regulations.
