Job Description

A Risk Management Specialist or Liability Claims Handler is required to handle and settle third-party liability claims, typically up to £100K, including Employers' Liability and Public Liability claims. Responsibilities include thorough investigation, report-only cases, and managing claims from inception to resolution. Expert advice is provided to policyholders within specified timeframes, ensuring claims are handled efficiently and in accordance with client service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting and advising clients on claims issues
• Collaboration with colleagues from various business areas to ensure a thorough and efficient claims process

This role requires experience across Employers', Public and Product Liability claims, including third-party Property Damage. A strong technical background within the adjusting or handling arena, knowledge of the insurance market, and experience in writing investigation reports are essential. Proficiency in using scoping software and handheld devices, along with excellent negotiation skills and a customer-first approach, are also required.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have experience in handling complex liability claims, with a strong understanding of Employers' Liability, Public Liability, and Product Liability claims. They will be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team to ensure seamless claims processing.
