Pearson BTEC International Trainers

We are seeking trainers who can deliver online and face-to-face courses worldwide, staying updated on education sector changes, subject area developments, and Pearson's professional development courses.

This role requires international travel.

  • Responsibilities:
    • Trainers will attend Pearson's in-house briefing on courses and materials, meet with clients to understand their needs, attend training sessions for technical skills, practice with resources to ensure confidence and competence, and complete Pearson's Global Content Standards Training for compliance.
    • They will deliver training sessions that ensure all objectives are met within the training session, present tailored content to customers and environments, use Ed Tech confidently, deal with customer queries professionally, manage time and travel arrangements (expenses covered by Pearson), and deliver training sessions within customer and Pearson guidelines.
    • Trainers will also provide feedback by completing and submitting a summary feedback form for every session delivered and scoring delegates' feedback consistently within expectations.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Teaching experience is essential.
  • A good understanding of qualification and assessment principles is necessary.
  • A high level of subject knowledge for training delivery is required.
  • Teaching, administration, assessment, or management experience in the relevant subject and level is vital.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills are essential.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines is necessary.
  • A confident use of a laptop, internet, and Microsoft PowerPoint is required.
  • The ability to manage teaching professionals with differing viewpoints is important.
  • A positive attitude towards all feedback is crucial.
  • A commitment to professional development is necessary.
  • Representing Pearson appropriately while delivering training is essential.
  • Delivering training sessions in English, with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing, is required.

Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
