Flood Risk and Resilience Senior Principal Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flood Risk and Resilience Senior Principal Consultant to join our team at BMT. As a key member of our Environmental Services Team, you will play a critical role in providing technical leadership and expertise in flood risk assessment, flood defence management, and river hydraulics.
Key Responsibilities- Provide senior technical leadership and expertise in flood risk assessment, flood defence management, and river hydraulics.
- Lead and deliver flood risk and resilience projects to schedule and budget, ensuring high-quality results and client satisfaction.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities in flood risk and resilience, and develop strategies to address them.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to share knowledge and best practices, and to drive innovation and improvement.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in flood risk assessment, flood defence management, and river hydraulics.
- Professional Chartership status with a relevant professional institute, such as CIWEM.
- Deep understanding of flood risk assessment methods, including the application of modelling software such as TUFLOW and FMP.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop effective solutions.
