Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Wireless Test Engineer to join our team at TÜV SÜD. As a key member of our Wireless Testing service, you will be responsible for performing RF testing on a wide range of IoT Wireless technologies, including WLAN 802.11, Bluetooth, Zigbee, Cellular (GSM / W-CDMA / LTE / 5G NR), SRD 433/868MHz, VHF, etc.

Key Responsibilities

Testing of wireless products to various test standards (ETSI and FCC) within our labs and at customer premises, both in the UK and overseas

Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with regulatory requirements or defined test plans supplied by customers

Accurate recording of test results using electronic logbook systems and production of test reports, following company quality procedures

Working with customers during attended testing and close liaison with Project Managers to ensure work is carried out accurately and within timescales

Development of test methods and departmental documentation

Requirements

Level 3 qualification in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience

Experience with RF test equipment, such as spectrum/network analyser, oscilloscope, signal generator, RF power meter, etc.

Good understanding of analogue and digital communications technologies

IT proficiency with bespoke software and Microsoft packages, including Windows, Word, and Outlook

Good attention to detail and ability to follow concise processes

Motivated and enthusiastic, with a willingness to learn

Flexible approach to work, willing to work overtime, shift-work, or on customer sites when required

Ability to deliver work independently or as a team to defined deadlines

Conscientious with good interpersonal, customer skills, and commercial awareness

Proven ability to document results accurately

Desirable Criteria

Experience in performing RF accredited testing on Wireless technologies
