Job Title: Principal Engineer

About the Role:

Kier Professional Services (KPS) is seeking an exceptional Principal Engineer to contribute to the success of our growing team in Cambridge. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality engineering services to our clients.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design and check Permanent and Temporary Works above and below ground in various materials, ensuring seamless integration with Permanent Works design when applicable.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions, enhancing Kier's reputation for excellence.
  • Support tender stage and bid-winning efforts, focusing on buildability, efficiency, and innovation.
  • Conduct technical assessments and reviews of third-party designs, ensuring compliance with client and Kier requirements.
  • Collaborate with junior team members, providing guidance and mentorship to help them grow professionally.

Requirements:

  • Chartered engineer or commitment to becoming chartered.
  • Experience in Permanent and Temporary Works Design or a strong interest in the field.
  • Full UK driving license.
