Quantity Surveyor Role Overview

Our client, a reputable firm of Quantity Surveyors and Project Managers, is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in Ely. The successful candidate will provide contractor support, working on pre- and post-contract services, including final accounts, for a range of main contractors.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects across the residential and commercial sectors, with values ranging from £100k to £500 million. Our client offers a competitive package, including 25 days' holiday, hybrid working, and APC support.

Quantity Surveyor Position Salary and Benefits

Quantity Surveyor Position Responsibilities
  1. Carry out estimating services, including BQ production
  2. Provide commercial and financial advice
  3. Manage procurement and contracts
  4. Maximise value recovery, cost control, and cash management on projects
  5. Commercially manage and control SC packages on projects
  6. Assist in protecting the company's contractual position on projects
  7. Prepare final accounts
Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements
  • At least 3 years' industry experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a contractor or PQS firm
  • A qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or a similar field
  • Open to candidates based in London, willing to travel to Ely 1-2 times per week
