About the Role

Midas Specialist Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join our team. As a Building Surveyor, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of instructions and projects from a range of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake full Building Surveying Services, including survey and report writing for a range of professional building surveying services.
  • Carry out both professional and project-based work, including line management of staff and coaching and motivating newly chartered surveyors.
  • Deliver project work, which can range from £50k to £5 million, and perform the role of designer, contract administrator, project manager, or employer's agent.
  • Manage and grow key client accounts, contributing to the training academy and supporting junior members of staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Building Surveying or Quantity Surveying, with a minimum of 2.1 or equivalent.
  • RICS accreditation or studying.
  • Project management qualification, such as APM affiliation or Prince 2.
  • Good pre and post-contract experience.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of winning new work, growing client relationships, and developing business opportunities.
  • Experience of managing a team and knowledge of JCT contracts.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK as needed.
