Embedded Software Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our team in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing software for our range of electronics products, which cater to various industries including environmental, safety, security, industrial, and defence.

The ideal candidate will have recent experience working as an Embedded Software Engineer or Firmware Engineer, with skills in software development in C and real-time embedded software experience. They will also have a good understanding of electronic design skills, including microcontroller, analogue, and digital circuitry, as well as knowledge of communication protocols such as SPI, UART, Ethernet, and PCI-Express.

The successful candidate will be expected to work on full life cycle development, using software design methodologies such as UML, and experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment. They will also be responsible for developing software that meets the required specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop software for our range of electronics products
  • Work on full life cycle development, from design to testing and deployment
  • Use software design methodologies such as UML
  • Work in an Agile/SCRUM environment
  • Develop software that meets the required specifications and quality standards

Requirements:

  • Recent experience working as an Embedded Software Engineer or Firmware Engineer
  • Skills in software development in C
  • Real-time embedded software experience
  • Good understanding of electronic design skills
  • Knowledge of communication protocols

Location: Hertfordshire (commutable from Stevenage, Bedford, Milton Keynes, Hemel Hempstead, Luton, Watford, Letchworth, St Albans, Bishop Stortford, Royston, etc)

Salary: £40-£50K + benefits + Bonus
