A great opportunity has arisen for a skilled professional to join the Lewis Row Recruitment team as an AML Compliance Assistant in London.

Job Description:

  • Collate data from UK client and matter risk assessments, providing valuable insights for the AML Risk and Compliance team.
  • Prepare agendas and documents for AML review meetings, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Draft and distribute minutes for AML or Compliance meetings, maintaining accurate records.
  • Carry out ongoing monitoring in relation to PEPs, sanctions, and adverse media using World-Check.
  • Review Companies House alerts or ownership changes for UK-based high-risk clients, identifying potential risks.
  • Collate AML client and matter stats on a weekly basis, providing essential information for decision-making.
  • Monitor and update the Firm's high-risk jurisdiction/tax haven lists, staying up-to-date with changing regulations.
  • Assist the Director of Risk and Compliance in ensuring employees complete mandatory training, promoting a culture of compliance.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the London Risk and Compliance budget, supporting the team's goals.
  • Maintain the AML Teams Training Schedule, Gift Register, and Share Dealing Register, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Book training sessions for the AML Risk and Compliance Team, fostering growth and development.
  • Support the Director of Risk and Compliance with Modern Slavery Act obligations, demonstrating commitment to ethics.
  • Manage the AML Risk and Compliance intranet page and documentation, providing easy access to critical information.
  • Collaborate with the AML Risk and Compliance team on projects, driving results and success.
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Risk and Compliance, handling tasks efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, possessing a strong foundation in risk management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent research skills, with the ability to navigate databases and other sources effectively.
  • Numerate with a high standard of oral and written communication skills, articulating ideas clearly.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong service orientation and ability to establish effective working relationships with staff at all levels.
  • Excellent ambassador for Risk and Compliance, promoting a positive image.
  • Able to meet deadlines in a dynamic setting, prioritizing tasks efficiently.
