About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Culinary Specialist to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a vital member of our nursery, you will be responsible for planning and preparing healthy, nutritious meals for young children.

Your key responsibilities will include collaborating with our nursery staff to ensure children's specific dietary requirements are met, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen, and managing inventory and supplies.

We are looking for an individual with previous experience as a chef in a nursery, school, or similar environment. A valid Food Hygiene certificate (Level 2 or above) is required.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan and prepare balanced, nutritious meals and snacks for children, accommodating any dietary needs and allergies.
  2. Collaborate with nursery staff to ensure children's specific dietary requirements are met.
  3. Maintain a clean and safe kitchen, adhering to food hygiene and safety standards.
  4. Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure high-quality, fresh ingredients.
  5. Control portion sizes and present meals in a child-friendly manner.
  6. Promote healthy eating habits and encourage positive relationships with food.
  7. Keep up-to-date records of allergen information and kitchen logs, ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations.
