We are seeking a skilled Bank Gardener to join our team at Advinia Care Homes Limited. As a Bank Gardener, you will be responsible for maintaining the grounds of our care homes, ensuring they are clean, tidy, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Grounds Maintenance: Perform general maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, clearing of debris, leaves, and planting of flower beds. Ensure all areas are left in a clean and tidy state.
  • Weed Control: Implement chemical and hand-weed control methods to maintain a weed-free environment.
  • Maintenance of Records: Keep accurate records of tasks performed, timesheets, materials, and equipment used.
  • Maintenance of Machinery: Regularly maintain and report any defects in machinery and equipment.
  • Use of Tools and Equipment: Operate petrol-powered gardening equipment and ride-on machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Cleaning and Litter Picking: Sweep hard surfaces and pick up litter from soft surfaces.
  • Reporting: Inform the property team of any needed projects and programmes in all garden areas.
Skills Required:
  • Experience: Strong experience within a grounds maintenance position.
  • Communication: Good communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and management.
  • Resilience: Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of performance.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible schedules and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Health and Safety: Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and safety procedures.
