About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Retail Category Manager to join our team at Zero Surplus. As a key member of our category management team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and category development across our retail partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse and interpret data from various sources, including Nielsen, Kantar, and GfK, to identify key insights and opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including retail buyers and category managers.
  • Champion the customer internally and work with internal teams to ensure the right range and activation in store to drive sales growth.
  • Create and deliver compelling stories to retailers to increase distribution of our core range and gain listings on new products.
  • Develop and maintain reporting capabilities across key performance indicators, including EPOS performance, distribution of key lines, rate of sale, competitor activity, and price/promotional analysis.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience within the FMCG, General Merchandise, or Retail sectors.
  • Knowledge and experience of category management or retail commercial management, such as operations or buying.
  • Advanced Excel skills and intermediate to advanced PowerPoint skills.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills to recognise performance indicators and present findings with action recommendations.
