Design Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Manager to join our team at Kier Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring technically compliant, cost-effective, and environmentally considerate solutions are developed in the pre-construction phase.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the technical approval process, consents process, and governance required to deliver schemes.
- Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and promote health and safety in design activities.
- Lead and manage the design team to achieve project goals on time, cost, quality, and health and safety.
- Oversee project and design budgets, forecast design costs, and drive efficiency through innovation and design reuse.
- Build trust and integrity with clients by providing timely information, managing risks and opportunities, and ensuring compliance with client-specific delivery processes.
- Hold a degree-level engineering qualification and ideally have CSCS accreditation or be willing to obtain it.
- Have a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel to sites and client meetings as required.
- Have a sound understanding of design principles within the water industry and be familiar with client standards and regulations.
