Key responsibilities include:

  • Attending shifts reliably and on time to ensure continuous cover
  • Carrying out daily administrative tasks, including taking rent and answering telephone calls
  • Providing a visible security presence and patrolling premises as scheduled
  • Cleaning communal areas, bathrooms, toilets, and vacant bedrooms as needed
  • Acting as the professional point of contact with emergency and statutory services
  • Maintaining accurate shift logs of patrols, incidents, visitors, and other security matters
  • Carrying out maintenance tasks and overseeing contractors as specified by the relevant manager
  • Conducting and recording routine checks on hygiene, fire, and other safety provisions
  • Supervising access to the laundry and the loan of equipment
  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships with members, users, and other staff
  • Working to the policies and procedures of YMCA Doncaster

We offer a genuinely meaningful work experience, a good rate of pay, a reliable income, and a role that can be permanent if desired or a springboard to a career in housing or charity work.

HOURS OF WORK

An average of 40 hours per week, with variable hours, including daytime and night shifts

We confirm shifts a minimum of one week in advance.
