Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Chef to join our team at Cloverleaf in Lincoln. As a Deputy Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the management of the kitchen and staff, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing menus, ensuring that they are balanced and nutritious.
  • Supervise and instruct kitchen staff in the use of equipment and hygiene procedures.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and cooked to the highest standards, and that all kitchen equipment is clean and well-maintained.
  • Assist in the ordering of stock and checking deliveries, and ensure that all stock is rotated and valued correctly.
  • Participate in staff and client meetings, and ensure that all communication is clear and effective.

Requirements:

  • City and Guilds 706 – 1 & 2 or equivalent qualification.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Previous management/supervisory experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
