Job Title: Accelerator Scientist
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accelerator Scientist to join our Cargo Research Team at OSI Systems, Inc. As an Accelerator Scientist, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and validating linear accelerators and associated sub-systems in our X-Ray Imaging Laboratory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and test linear accelerators, including their components and subsystems.
- Provide technical guidance to other team members and support the wider business unit efforts in product quality assurance, root cause analysis, and training.
- Support the development of high-power RF systems, high-voltage power supplies, and beam dynamics.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
Requirements:
- PhD in Particle Accelerator Physics or RF Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with electron linear accelerators and test equipment, including vector network analysers and oscilloscopes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced product development environment.
- Knowledge of safe systems of work with particle accelerators and their sub-systems.
