We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring supplier quality standards are met, reviewing and approving supplier certification against specifications and standards, and ensuring effective release of raw materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure supplier quality standards are met
  • Review and approval of supplier certification against specifications and standards
  • Ensure effective release of raw materials
  • Ensure traceability and technical requirements are met
  • Act as point of contact for materials-related queries
  • Facilitate supplier root cause analysis and manage closure of corrective actions identified as a result of supplier investigations
  • Conduct supplier audits
  • Effectively identify areas of audit non-conformances and verify the implementation of corrective actions

Requirements

  • Preferably qualified to HNC (or similar level) in an engineering or associated discipline
  • Demonstrable experience gained within a Quality Engineer role
  • Ability to understand technical documentation
  • Experience of reviewing customer specifications and supplier certification
  • Knowledge of metallurgy
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
  • Working knowledge of root cause analysis and continuous improvement processes
  • Demonstrable internal auditing experience
  • Experience of supplier auditing
  • Strong communication and team working skills
  • Competent in MS office packages

Package

Up to £40,000 PA (Depending on experience) + Competitive Benefits

Average of 37 Hours per week over two weeks (Hours of work: Monday to Thursday and on Fridays)
