About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Town Planner to join our team at Squires Planning, a dynamic and rapidly growing independent private Planning Consultancy. As a Senior/Principal Town Planner, you will be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of projects and working closely with our Director of Planning to shape and progress our new branch in Swindon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and run planning projects independently, collaborating with various company projects and demonstrating the ability to bring in new work while remaining involved in hands-on project tasks.
  • Work alongside a reputable market-leading Planning Director with over 20 years of experience, who is eager to pass on their knowledge, experience, and support to help you advance your Town Planning career.

  • Commercial
  • Residential
  • Solar and wind farm projects
  • Education
  • Local authority and neighbourhood planning
  • Manor house replacements and housebuilder schemes
  • Various smaller, fast-paced projects
About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Relevant planning degree or equivalent qualification.
  • 3+ years of relevant UK-based experience in the public or private planning sector.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent project and client management abilities, and proficiency in producing well-written and presented documents.
