**About Us**

Mount St Mary's is a successful and oversubscribed inner city school located in the heart of the city.

We draw inspiration from our diverse community to create an atmosphere of engagement and aspiration, where students are encouraged to grow and succeed.

In 2019, we underwent a Section 48 Inspection, which praised our students for being polite, confident, and respectful towards each other and staff. They were also commended for their high levels of articulacy and pride in their school and personal achievements.

Our recent Section 5 OFSTED Inspection graded us as Good in all areas, describing us as a joyful place with a clear mission that is embraced by all the school community.

Leaders have developed a nurturing school environment, where students feel a strong sense of responsibility towards each other. We have a well-established reputation for providing high-quality care, guidance, and support, ensuring that all learners receive personalized development opportunities.

**Recent Successes**

In 2022, Mount St Mary's topped local and regional tables for P8 progress, a success that has been replicated in 2023.

All students actively participate in extra-curricular activities, such as sports, academics, performing arts, and public speaking. This is an area we value highly and continue to see growth in.

We are seeking a qualified careers professional to join our team and provide students and families with high-quality, impartial careers advice.

This role will involve working closely with our senior leader to develop Careers Education Information Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) across the curriculum, raising achievement and positively impacting post-16 destinations.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in nurturing outstanding students with high aspirations, preparing them for success.

**Salary and Benefits**

We offer a competitive salary, estimated at around £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. The post is a maternity cover for 9 months.
