About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable and multi-skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant to strengthen our SEND Faculty. The successful candidate will support pupil progress and help raise standards of achievement for pupils with special educational needs within a mainstream school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide additional support for SEND pupils across the school in line with the SEND code of practice and school expectations.
  • Engage, lead and inspire pupils of all ages and abilities.
  • Complement the work of our teaching staff by taking responsibility for pupils' learning activities under an agreed system of supervision.

Requirements

  • High levels of motivation and the ability to engage and inspire pupils.
  • Experience in supporting pupils across a range of curriculum subjects and delivering literacy interventions to KS3 and KS4 pupils.
  • Expertise in EAL is a distinct advantage.
