Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Administrative Coordinator to join our team at Ashton Medical Group in Ashton-under-Lyne. As a key member of the administration team, you will be responsible for supporting the receptionists with patient registration, booking appointments, and processing information in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring it reaches the intended recipient efficiently.
  • File and store records as required, maintaining accurate and up-to-date filing systems.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with caller's requests appropriately.
  • Liaise with external agencies such as hospitals and community services, ensuring referrals are processed efficiently.
  • Manage all administrative queries effectively.
  • Process medical records requests as per GDPR guidelines.
  • Maintain an accurate referrals database.
  • Carry out system searches as requested.

About Our Practice

Ashton Medical Group is a well-established GP practice serving around 17,500 patients in Ashton-under-Lyne. We are committed to providing high-quality patient care and a supportive working environment for our staff.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
  • Strong IT skills, competent in the use of Office and Outlook.
  • Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work as a team member and autonomously.
  • EMIS Web user skills.
  • Docman user skills.
  • ERS user skills.

Salary

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
