About the Role

Fruition IT is seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Guildford. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing new infrastructure platforms, creating comprehensive documentation, and actively managing infrastructure platforms to enhance stability, availability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement new infrastructure platforms, including Active Directory, hardware and virtual servers
  • Provide ongoing operational support and act as a technical escalation point for major incidents
  • Lead the procurement and management of hardware and software
  • Liaise with external service providers to ensure seamless integration
  • Design and implement enhancements to the current infrastructure to improve efficiency and scalability
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in enterprise-level IT infrastructure, including Windows Server and Desktop Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Strong knowledge of hardware support, storage, and physical infrastructure (Netapp, Pure, Dell, HP, etc.)
  • Virtualization experience, including VMware
  • M365 and SharePoint management expertise
  • Strong SQL experience, with experience as a DBA a plus
  • Proficiency in PowerShell for automation and maintenance
  • Possession of relevant professional IT certifications from infrastructure vendors, such as Microsoft and Cisco
