NetApp Storage Engineer

Job Summary:

Regal Cloud is seeking a skilled NetApp Storage Engineer to join our team for a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NetApp storage systems and be able to effectively manage, upgrade, and monitor storage environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Management & Execution: Oversee and execute the management of NetApp systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • NetApp Data ONTAP & Firmware: Perform upgrades and provide expert recommendations to ensure seamless system operation.
  • NetApp Operations Manager (OM): Implement and upgrade OM, while monitoring storage and data management systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Hardware Diagnostics & Replacement: Conduct on-site diagnostics and handle the replacement of hardware components as needed to minimize downtime.
  • Case Resolution Facilitation: Work closely with stakeholders to facilitate timely resolution of cases and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Test Planning & Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Regular Reviews: Participate in regularly scheduled reviews with the customer to assess system performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of the NetApp storage environment to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with NetApp storage systems, particularly Data ONTAP.
  • Strong knowledge of NetApp Operations Manager.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to document and present findings clearly.

Working Arrangements:

  • The role will be based in Cheshire, with an expectation of 2-3 days onsite per week.
