Maternity Cover Opportunity for Primary Teachers

We are seeking an experienced primary teacher to fill a maternity cover position at one of our partner schools in South West England.

The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in a primary school setting. A strong understanding of the UK national curriculum is also essential.

Salary: £29,500 - £32,000 per year, based on a 12-month contract, which equates to approximately £145-£160 per day

This is a temporary position, expected to last until the end of the 24-25 academic year. The successful candidate will be required to start ideally by December 2nd and will need to commit to working full-time hours.

About the Role

As a primary teacher, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons to students in Years 4 and 5. You will assess and evaluate students' progress, providing feedback and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learners
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements
  • Ensure adherence to school policies and regulations

You will also have opportunities to interact with students, colleagues, and parents, building strong relationships and promoting a supportive school community.

Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service
