We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Veterinary Surgeon to support our team at GLG Vets in Darlington. This role presents a unique opportunity for veterinary care professionals who are enthusiastic about animal welfare and enjoy working in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality veterinary care and treatment to a variety of animals.
  • Perform routine check-ups, surgeries, and emergency care as required, maintaining detailed and accurate medical records for each patient.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team of veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic during your shifts.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Veterinary degree (MRCVS or equivalent) is a requirement for this role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with experience in both routine and emergency veterinary care being highly desirable.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development is expected from all applicants.

Shift Details and Benefits:

  • Full-time working pattern with 4 weekdays and 1 in 6 full weekends.
  • Competitive salary package of £40,000 - £60,000 per year, with a generous CPD allowance to support ongoing training.
