We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manufacturing Process Specialist to provide essential engineering support to our production processes.
The primary responsibilities of this role include ensuring high-quality production, reviewing and advising on production methods, driving continuous improvement, and reducing scrap and waste.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to manufacturing, addressing programming and internal and external production issues, including ordering tooling and consumables.
- Deliver technical support to quality control by developing Quality Plans/Control Plans and addressing internal and external non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Implement CAD CAM in the CNC Turning area for enhanced efficiency.
- Implement corrective actions to resolve production and quality issues.
- Stay up to date with current projects and their status.
- Continuously improve our production processes, identifying and implementing enhancement opportunities.
- Assist with machine purchase specifications, maintenance plans, and repairs.
- Aid in machine layout and movement projects.
- Contribute to site services and maintenance activities.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Safeguard customer proprietary information and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Remain conscious of quality requirements and adhere to them consistently.
- Promote and ensure adherence to health and safety protocols for both personal activities and those of others.
- Follow procedures for the proper use and care of equipment, systems, and materials.
Salary:
$60,000 - $80,000 per year
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and at least 5 years of experience in a metal-cutting manufacturing company.
Additionally, we seek candidates with proven experience within the manufacturing industry, preferably in the Racing Industry or Aerospace sector, proficiency in reading manufacturing drawings, sound knowledge of CNC Turning and experience with CAD CAM, experience with Lean Enterprise practices, familiarity with ISO 9001 requirements and basic product liability concepts, and knowledge of statistical methods such as distribution and process capability.
As a Manufacturing Process Specialist at Recra Consulting, you will be working closely with the Head of Engineering to optimise our manufacturing operations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our business.
