**About the Role**

Our client, a leading manufacturer of PVCu windows, doors, and conservatories, is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their Finance Department. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day activities.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase and sales ledgers, reconciling supplier and customer accounts.
  • Prepare and present Management Accounts, providing valuable insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Input sales data into Sage Line 50, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Place orders and manage purchase stock orders, ensuring efficient inventory management.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Process weekly payment runs, ensuring timely payment to suppliers and vendors.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

**Requirements**

  • Ambitious and open to learning and progression, with a strong desire to contribute to the company's success.
  • Relevant degree or previous experience within an Accounts Department, with a strong understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Excellent IT skills, with proficiency in Sage Line 50 and other financial software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
