Job Title: Software Applications Support SpecialistDescription:

The successful candidate will perform a critical role in Software Support and Service Management, ensuring the stability and continuity of all software and communication applications across the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a broad technical understanding of all software applications in use across the business.
  • Work with software partners to ensure successful development and implementation of non-infrastructure software applications.
  • Manage and own the handover of change into the operational environment.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the business model to recommend suitable technology use.
  • Undertake business analyst-type responsibilities to help the business get the most from the in-house case management system.
  • React quickly to live software and communication errors to minimize downtime.
  • Perform upgrades or incident resolution out of hours to avoid disruption to business activities.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver documentation required in supporting software and communications applications.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have SQL Server Management 2008/2012/2014 experience, reporting and troubleshooting skills, and experience with Windows Workstation 7 and 10, Backup Technologies, and Windows Server 2008/2012/2016.

Experience with Phone System, Sage Accounts, and Payroll is also beneficial.
