About the Role

Gemini Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Law Solicitor to join our client's team. As a leading law firm, our client is committed to delivering exceptional legal services to corporate entities and private individuals across various practice areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members on Public Law matters
  • Manage and supervise Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors, and Caseworkers to ensure effective case management
  • Assist in delivering training and development programs for the department
  • Deal with a range of Public Law work, including unlawful detention, false imprisonment, and challenging non-appealable decisions
  • Prepare and manage funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency
  • Prepare draft documents, including witness statements and processing evidence
  • Attend conferences and court proceedings
Requirements
  • Law Society Immigration Accreditation Level 2
  • Membership of the Law Society
  • Valid Practicing Certificate
  • Strong management skills and ability to work with a team
  • Proven experience in Public Law matters and working to key performance indicators
  • Excellent client care skills and ability to deal with vulnerable clients
  • Excellent networking and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of the Legal Aid Guidance for Public Law matters
