About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Domestic Support Assistant at Vale of Glamorgan Council. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality service to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide domestic support, including laundry and cleaning services, to residents in a residential home for older people.
- Assist residents with their daily needs, promoting independence and dignity at all times.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a safe and homely environment for residents.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience of undertaking a full range of general cleaning duties, including the use of electrical equipment.
- A basic understanding of the needs of frail older people and/or people with disabilities and/or dementia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
