The Payroll Manager will be responsible for organizing and managing a team who invoice and process multiple payrolls for clients. As a manager, they will be responsible for the performance and production of the team, ensuring deadlines are met and KPIs are reached.
Key Responsibilities:- Be the lead contact for client queries and provide timely and accurate responses.
- Answer client and contractor questions about payments, deductions, and general queries in a professional and courteous manner.
- Lead a small team of junior payroll administrators and provide guidance and support as needed.
- Identify operational issues and resolve them in a timely and efficient manner.
- Calculate correct amounts of pay, including deductions, overtime, SSP, bonuses, etc.
- Deduct correct amounts of pension contributions, income tax, national insurance, etc.
- Run multiple payrolls across varying frequencies and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Input related data for weekly and monthly payments into payroll software and maintain accurate records.
- Complete payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review and provide insights and recommendations.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve any discrepancies in time-sheet and payroll records.
- Receive and coordinate HMRC notifications and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Ideal experience with Sage payroll and Brightpay software.
