Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Accounting Specialist to join our team on a temporary, full-time basis. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial accounting support to our clients, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Accounting: Assist the Financial Accountant with the development and review of finance procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Financial Analysis: Review and analyze financial data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit financial reports to stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Financial Planning: Assist in the development of financial plans and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Financial Control: Ensure the effective management of financial resources, including cash flow, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Financial Systems: Maintain and support financial systems, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Financial Training: Provide training and support to finance team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
- Financial Supervision: Supervise and manage the work of finance team members, ensuring they meet performance expectations.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws, including tax laws and financial reporting requirements.
Requirements:
- Professional Qualifications: Full membership of one of the following Accountancy Bodies: The Institute of Accounting Technicians in Ireland, Association of Accounting Technicians, or equivalent.
- Work Experience: Two years' experience in a finance office, with experience in at least two of the following areas: general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, payroll.
- Leadership Experience: Held a post of responsibility supervising staff (at least one person) within a finance office within the last three years.
