Job Title: Electrical Technician

At Babcock International Group, we're working to create a safe and secure world, together. As an Electrical Technician, you'll play a key part in helping to build the new 'Inspiration' class, Type 31 frigate.

The Role

You'll be part of a friendly, supportive team, working alongside other experienced professionals who are engaged in carrying out various activities, including:

  • The installation of electrical equipment within the marine environment.
  • The installation of cable containment systems.
  • The glanding and termination of cabling at equipment.
  • The installation and test of fibre optic systems.
  • The installation and check wiring of electrical systems cabling within the marine environment.

This role is full time, 36-hours per week, Monday to Thursday, with opportunities to boost your earnings potential with flexible overtime.

Essential Experience

You'll need:

  • Multi-pin plug connection/assembly low voltage systems installation.
  • Installation of control systems.
  • Fire detection and alarm systems installation and maintenance.
  • Emergency lighting installation and maintenance.
  • Broadcast systems installation and maintenance.

Qualifications

A minimum of an ONC Electrical Engineering or a Level 3 Electrical apprenticeship is required.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.

Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
