Job Responsibilities


The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing and supporting the implementation of integrated risk management across major capital programs or projects. Key responsibilities will include:



  • Leading risk commissions, including team management
  • Facilitating collaboration with various stakeholders to identify, assess, and prioritize threats, opportunities, and issues
  • Maintaining visibility of threat/opportunity trigger points to facilitate risk cost profiling, timely drawdown of risk budget, or retirement of threat/opportunity
  • Monitoring overall risk exposure and assessing against the remaining risk budget and timeline
  • Proactively managing the completion of management responses
  • Working with the supply chain to assess contractor responsibility risks and their views on client risks that could impact their ability to deliver
  • Producing and presenting fit-for-purpose risk reports in a timely manner to support effective communication of threat & opportunity status and required senior management action
  • Conducting quantitative risk assessments (cost and schedule) to inform project contingency and time risk allowance levels. The ideal candidate will have basic to advanced levels of competence with tools such as @risk, Safran, PRA, or similar.
  • Presenting key risk findings to clients, including assurance of supply chain risk management performance
  • Familiarity with web-based database/reporting tools – ARM, Xactium, Predict, Tableau, PowerBI
  • Commission management and risk service development and delivery

Requirements


The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of quantitative schedule risk assessments and quantitative cost risk assessments (QRSA's and QRCA's) and have experience using software such as Primavera Risk Analysis, @risk, and/or Safran. They will also have proven industry experience in infrastructure, construction, engineering, or within a management consultancy.


Candidates should be able to demonstrate the following capabilities:



  • A working understanding of developing and implementing integrated risk management solutions across portfolios, programs, and projects
  • Risk and scenario analysis workshop facilitation
  • A strong understanding of project controls methodology and risk management interactions
  • Experience of senior management engagement on risk management
  • We are looking for candidates with proven experience in a risk delivery role on major projects/programs or blue-chip companies
  • IRM/APM risk certified candidates are preferred but not essential
