About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at EDF. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing key projects, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects that meet or surpass the project baseline cost, schedule, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all actions taken are fully compliant with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish the baseline Scope, Quality, Schedule, and Cost for your projects and ensure the MTP and ALR2, as well as other company reporting tools, accurately reflect the Project position.
  • Work closely with Architect Engineers as key members of your Project Team to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions in a safe manner.
  • Secure the required resource to meet project requirements, ensuring all involved are SQEP.
  • Develop and conduct effective execution strategies to help achieve the overall project objectives.
  • Ensure effective project change control is implemented when significant changes to scope, schedule, or cost are identified.
  • Maximise learning opportunities, making full use of OpEx.
  • Keep stakeholders informed and updated with performance, issues, and risks throughout.
  • Ensure effective risk and issue mitigation.
Requirements

You will hold a HNC or equivalent in an Engineering or relevant discipline, while a degree would be advantageous. APMQ is essential. You will be familiar with HSE and CDM legislation, able to demonstrate experience of managing projects throughout the full project lifecycle, ideally across a range of complex multi-discipline projects and environments.

You will also be proficient in the use of estimating, scheduling, programming, risk tools, and the use of Earned Value Analysis. Management of an integrated project team, including staff, agency, contract, and assigned functional support, with evidence of working within environments with high quality and safety standards & culture.

Ideally, you will demonstrate success in managing and developing:

  • Engineering design, safety case, contract, and field execution strategies for project delivery.
  • Large multi-discipline projects.
  • Large complex multi-discipline contracts and the tender review process.
  • Control of costs and change.
  • Closing out of commercial claims and the associated negotiations.
  • Front-end design and development of solutions.
  • The design/construction interface to ensure a smooth transition/handover and how to address the issues which occur at this interface.
