Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a 2-form entry Primary School in the BS5 area of Bristol. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with children with SEND needs, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.

The ideal candidate will be a team player who can work closely with KS2 pupils, providing individualized support and adapting to the needs of each child. A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and experience of developing and implementing innovative teaching methods are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with SEND needs in a 1:1 or small group setting
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the needs of each child
  • Work closely with the Class Teacher to ensure seamless integration of support
  • Liaise with the SENCo to develop and implement additional activities to support children with SEND needs
  • Provide a nurturing and patient environment for children with SEMH or ASD needs
